During the week of the Conference, a four-day short course entitled “Continual Professional Development (CPD) training onSustainable energy Transitions” will be organised at ISSER, University of Ghana from 21 - 24 June, 2017. SAMSET will run this course in partnership with the Covenant of Mayors Programme in Sub-Saharan Africa, covering areas such as urban energy data and profiling, energy futures modelling, sustainable energy strategy development, as well as the implementation of a range of sustainable energy options. National and international experts in the field of Energy will handle different sessions of the training and certificates of participation will be awarded to participants at the end of the training. The trainingis targeted at energy sector planners and workers, research institutions, and postgraduate-level students.
